Lawson Perform in Toronto (February 2, 2013)

Earlier this month, British boy band, Lawson, ended the North American leg of their tour here in Toronto at the Virgin Mobile Mod Club. They played to a full house made up of screaming girls, parent chaperones, and yours truly.

It was their first Canadian show and Andy, Ryan, Joel and Adam didn't disappoint their adoring fans--performing a solid set of hits from their debut album and more. We heard all of their singles including: When She Was Mine, Taking Over Me, Standing in the Dark, and Learn to Love Again; plus cover versions of Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe, Katy Perry's Teenage Dream, Maroon 5's Moves Like Jagger and Ed Shereen's The A-Team. The band's energy was electric and the boys definitely gave it their all. Each member had their moment in the spotlight and they exuberantly interacted with the crowd throughout the night; at one point, we were encouraged to join them in singing happy birthday to a lucky fan in attendance. But as quickly as the show began, it drew to a close with the boys proclaiming this gig to be one of their best ever and  professing their love for all of their Canadian fans, promising to return soon. I had a blast at this show and Lawson proved that they are truly a pop music force to be reckoned with!
