Review: Garbage Perform in Toronto 05/28/2012

Last night, Garbage stopped in Toronto on their Not Your Kind of People tour and they played to a packed crowd of die-hard fans at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Hall. The tickets for this show sold out in a matter of minutes and I was fortunate enough to snatch up one of these highly coveted tickets a few months earlier. This was my second time seeing the band perform live, and Shirley Manson and the boys truly did not disappoint.

The band have just returned from a seven year hiatus, but they're back in true form and they've never sounded better. It was delightful to see the group back on stage and they played a mixture of their hits including: Only Happy When It Rains, Cherry Lips, Queer, I Think I'm Paranoid, Stupid Girl, Why Do You Love Me and many, many more; plus we heard a bunch of tracks from their new album too.

Shirley Manson kept the crowd engaged the whole night with her killer vocals, her charm and her sincerity. At one point in the show, the band's monitors had to be rebooted, so Shirley used this time to meet some of the fans in the audience and to genuinely express the band's gratitude towards us, the fans, for our continual support. I was touched by this gesture and when their monitors came back up--Garbage ROCKED out the rest of the evening and showed the audience exactly why we love them so much. Check out my pics and videos of the show below!
