Video: Lanvin for H&M

My latest piece for

It’s that time of year again – designer diffusion line time at H&M! I look forward to H&M's designer collaborations each year because they give everyday people (like yours truly) the opportunity to own a piece of luxury without having to pay ridiculously exorbitant luxury prices.

My secret to shopping these collections is to look for timeless signature key pieces (such as a blouse, little black dress, or pants) that you can mix and match with other pieces already in your wardrobe and that you'll want to wear for a few seasons. Accessories from these collections are great investments too because they can easily add interest to any outfit and effortlessly step up your look.

Some of the designers that have collaborated with H&M previously include: Karl Lagerfeld, Viktor and Rolf, Comme Des Garcons, Roberto Cavalli, and Stella McCartney. This year, we get to drool over and covet luxurious avante-garde pieces from French atelier, Lanvin. Alber Elbaz (artistic director of Lanvin) has single-handedly transformed the Paris-based label into a fashion trendsetting powerhouse (similar to what Tom Ford did for Gucci) and his fashion forward design vision will bless select H&M stores globally on November 23. We can expect exquisitely tailored pieces made from beautiful luxe fabrics with lots of feminine charm and flair.

Earlier this week, we got a peek at the highly anticipated collection through this official video which features a number of key looks from the collection. I love the presentation of this diffusion line via this short film format and it definitely takes the concept of a fashion show to the next level. I can't wait to see these pieces in person! Check it out below.
